Features include two channels, two cabinets, two mics per cabinet (with continuously variable placement, for humongous stereo sound and outrageous phasing effects), and a wickedly fast noise gate for metal palm mutes galore.
This latest addition to the Softube amp lineup distills the essential ingredients of great bass tone—amp, cabinet, microphone, and DI—into a single, easy-to-use plug-in. Three cabinet types are featured—an industry-standard SVT-style with eight 10” drivers, a rock ‘n’ roll classic 4 x 12”, and a small half-open-backed with a single 12”. The amp is a Softube “original” design inspired by a late ‘70s HiWatt D-103; the microphone is a modeled Sennheiser MD421, and the DI is another Softube original design that features a custom limiter, tone and filter parameters, and a balance control for blending the amplified and direct signals.
