The neck is constructed from 3 piece mahogany and has been shaped in to an extra thin profile for high velocity soloing and the neck joint is specially contoured to allow easier access to the upper frets. An ebony fingerboard is outfitted with 24 extra-jumbo frets that will facilitate effortless string bending. The plain fingerboard with only a single 12th fret inlay gives off a gothic vibe. The 26.5” extra-long scale neck supplies the perfect amount of string tension to accommodate the low-tune strings. This shred machine takes you to the next level. Metal players will love the tone of low-tuned power chords that can only be achieved with a 7 or 8-string.
The Schecter Blackjack ATX C-8 sports a pair of high output Seymour Duncan 8 String AHB-1 Blackout active pickups that will deliver slabs of low-tuned molten metal mayhem. The electronics feature individual volume controls, a master tone, and a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch. Rounding out the hardware is a set of Schecter locking tuners, a Schecter designed Hipshot Custom 8 bridge with indivual saddles for perfect intonation, paired with a string-thru body design for maximum tuning stability and sustain.
