The Samson Q7 low mass powerful Neodymium magnet affords you a level of audio performance seen on microphones that are nearly twice the price. The Samson Q7 is equipped with a linear frequency response for superior reproduction and can withstand high sound pressure levels. The neodymium magnet makes the Q7 extremely sensitive for accurate sound reproduction and recording. The Samson Q7's tight supercardiod pickup pattern makes it ideal for live sound applications where feedback is a concern. A special shock-mounted element minimizes handling noise and provides additional protection. The Samson Q7 utilizes state-of-the-art microphone technology and is engineered to the finest detail.

People talk about the SM58's durability, I've had the Q7 for about 6 years, and the mic still works like it's brand new. I'm currently using it for vocals with my band. In the past I've used it to mic a bass amp, acoustic guitar and the sound quality is amazing considering its low price. I've used other reputable mics, and this one is one to have on your top list. You'll never regret buying this mic!

This mic is very affordable has a bright sound and is just as good as my SM58. I've used many mics and this ranks pretty high on my list of what I would definitely buy again. I've had the Q7 for a couple years now and I've never had a problem with it. It's reliable show after show and has definitely taken a good beating from being transported so much. Great for live sound and even for home recordings.

I use this for live shows and some recordings. I took a chance when my local store ran out of SM58's. I've bought three since. I really like them. They come in a padded case, which is great for transport if a bit bulky, and they have great sound. In my experience, they block feedback and noise better than the Sure SM58's. I've had mine for a few years and they've never given me any trouble. Their specificity with regards to positioning makes them more efficient at not picking up unwanted noise, but you also then have to watch how you sing into the mic so it doesn't cut you out. It obviously depends on taste and main needs. They've been VERY useful and versatile to me. If you want an SM58, be sure to check these out as well.

I've spent most of my adult life playing music and have been through a decent amount of Mics. I'm not going to say how fab this mic is, because I've used better. But if you want to compare it the the standard SM58 it is just as good and you save [$]. I have over the years collected several 58s and just recently bought this Q7. Sound is on par, I hope it will last to the bulletproof likeness of the 58.

While buying my Squire PA system the guy went over different mics with me and my band he showed me the Samson the Shure and i do not remember the other one. The Q7 just blew me away i bought two of them because the price was amazing and I had a show in a week. For the time being i use these mics for drum recordings and they give you an excellent sound with no feedback.

I initially bought this mic for stage performance. Now I mostly record with it. It provides a clean, flat response that can easily be EQed or have effects added to get the sound you want. For live performance it proved to be perfectly adequate, clean and clear. Forthe price, it's a steal

I bought this mike over the Shure SM-58 because people told me it was better. When I got it, it just simply blew me away. In my band the other singer uses a Shure SM-58, while they both are very good mikes, the Q7 beats the Shure without a doubt.
