Samson MDR1064 Mixer

The MDR1064 has a total of ten channels, six Mic/Line, all with channel inserts allowing you to insert an outboard effect to each channel, and two stereo channels, combined with the 2-track to mix level control, three band channel equalization, and auxiliary send. Constructed with high quality, low noise, discrete microphone pre-amps with optional 48-Volt phantom power, giving you maximum dynamic range and a transparent audio signal throughout the entire signal chain.

I own this mixer and use it two or three times per month. I've owned it for about 4 months and only have 4 working channels left. I threw it in the dumpster last weekend.

The Samson MDR 10 is a very nice Mixer I use with JBL self-powered speakers. Clear sound & nice reverb. It is half the price now ([$]) that I bought it for ([$]) so it's a real bargain! I wouldn't buy the 3 yr warranty though. I had a little problem with it and brought it back to Sam Ash on 48th St in NYC. They didn't call me when it returned from repairs and a slider was bent and one of the plastic oval AUX buttons doesn't pop up when depressed. I would get another unit but wouldn't extend the warranty unless I can ship it myself to Samson.

I've been using this mixer for years! It doesn't have many bells and whistles but then again there is nothing to break on it. The thing just works! It fits into my laptop naksack really well with it's plug and a bunch of cables.

It has lots of outs (XLR, 1/4", RCA) and makes a good swiss army knife. I bring it along to any gig where I need to hook up my band into someone elses rig.
