You have 5 different Acoustic Pianos, 7 Electric Pianos, 2 Clavinets, Marimba, Vibraphone, Acoustic Guitar, Harpsichord, 6 Organs, 3 Strings and 3 Choirs. With a generous 60 note polyphony, you’d need a third hand joining your other two running full up and down scales to exhaust the polyphony limit. Very generous! Built-in reverb and chorus (3 of each) enhance the sonic soundscape and add an additional dimension to your playing experience. All the important controls and functions are within easy reach, all located on the top panel so you can make changes on the fly and never interrupt the magic at hand. This is a welcome departure from the screens and pages of digital menus found on some other offerings. The built-in metronome has controls for tempo, time signature, accent and volume. The tuning control allows for easy key transpose (a true godsend), fine-tuning and temperament including Equal, Kirnberger and Werkmeister. This allows you to practice your classical pieces at a new level of realism. 2 built-in, great sounding Dual Cone Speakers powered by two 11 watt power amps with a bass reflex speaker box provide great sound but you can also send your signal out to a PA system or recording front-end in the studio. Speaking of recording in the studio, the Korg SP-250 also doubles as a 16 part multitimbral sound source so you can, together with your favorite DAW, compose and arrange complex musical pieces using nothing more than your SP-250. There are 2 headphone jacks onboard so you and teacher (or visa-versa) can build skills in private until ready to be unleashed on your adoring fans! Also, there are 30 songs in the SP-250’s memory, ready to serenade during dinner or to be utilized as a learning/practice tool. Nice touch! Included is a damper-style sustain pedal which attaches to the included keyboard stand so the pedal won’t slip. It's really quite ingenious and long overdue. Without the stand, the SP-250 weighs in at only 42lbs so packing it up and bringing it along to your next gig is a painless notion. Also included is an AC adaptor and sheet music stand, so you’re ready to rock right out of the box. One year parts and labor. 90 Days on footswitches, tubes, and AC adapters. Three years on tuners and metronomes.
