Just started playing in a band again after twenty years! With all the extra practice getting the "Rust" out and learning 60 new songs, I went through 9 sets of my beloved Slinkeys in three weeks! They would rust & break due to acidic oils and abuse. Normally my strings would sit for years before I would get around to changing them, but the increased playing was breaking my wallet. My Strat (W/Trem) has always been a chore to keep in tune, so I decided to fall for the marketing hype of the SIT strings and put them on all three of my electrics. Wow! Not only has the Tele. been the only thing I've played both practicing and at rehearsal, but it's been three weeks now with minimal tuning,(I'm a HEAVY bender), but my other two guitars are still dead in tune from the original stringing! The strings haven't seemed to lose much sonic quality, and let me tell you they feel like they are graphite coated! Even after 3 weeks, they are the fastest strings I've ever played. I'll sometimes even slide up an extra fret by accident during solo work. I've never been a shredder or even fast for that matter. Just not my thing, but now I find myself pushing my limits just for fun. Maybe I've been out of it a little too long and other products like this are out there, but Just logged on to this site to see if Could get them a little cheaper and found that they're LESS THAN A THIRD than what I payed for mine! Like winning the Lotto!

"[...]This has to be one of the best strings. POD, STP, and Soil all use them and I can see why. They stay in tune and have a great tone. And ... I love the fact that you can get an extra 1st and 2nd string."
