Roland VSR880 Digital Multitrack
The Roland VSR-880 is a rack-mounted digital recorder that is based on the outstanding performance of the VS880 and VS1680 digital hard disk recorders. The VSR-880 features 24-bit A/D, D/A converters, 8-track simultaneous playback and 8-track simultaneous recording. Two banks of 64 virtual tracks (8-Tracks x 8-Virtual Tracks x 2 Banks). 8 analog inputs: 2 Balanced TRS jacks on the front panel, covers Mic to Line level, 8 RCA jacks on the rear panel, fixed line level. 8 analog outputs and 8 RCA jacks on the rear panel. R-BUS for 8 channel digital input/output plus a Digital input (optical or coaxial) that's assignable to any channel. Digital output (optical or coaxial) and MIDI (In and Out/Thru). Dedicated buttons allow CD-RW functions to be accessed at a single touch, while the front panel has two variable-gain inputs (TRS balanced) and a headphone jack. The front panel configuration allows easy, convenient operation with the VSR-880 securely mounted in a rack. Adding this single unit to your rig opens up unlimited possibilities, such as using the VSR-880 as a VS-880 track expander.
