Roland GAIA SH-01 Synthesizer
The Roland GAIA SH-01 Synthesizer is a lightweight, compact, virtual analog 37-key keyboard with 64-note polyphony. It's capable of generating familiar analog synthesized sounds from popular music’s past but can also create some cutting-edge sounds and textures for today’s modern music styles.
With three virtual analog engines under the hood, you’ll have all kinds of inspirational fun unleashing your creativity as you harness the power of what are basically 3 synths in one. Each has it’s own oscillator, filter, amplifier, envelope, and LFO. The generous 64-note polyphony protects against note dropout so you can layer and build sounds to your heart’s content.
Every function of the Roland GAIA SH-01 has it’s own dedicated knob, lever or button making changes to your sounds and deep synthesis exploration friendly and intuitive. There are no hidden menus to bog you down and keep you from your creative flow. It features a built-in Arpeggiator with 64 preset patterns, an onboard Phrase Recorder and Roland’s famous D Beam controller. The Phrase Recorder not only captures what notes you play but also the moves you make. Twist a knob, push a slider, wave your hand over the D Beam…all your moves are recorded along with the performance so you really hear back what you intended to hear.
The built-in multi-effects take this synth up another notch from anything you may remember from the old days. These include Reverb, Distortion, Fuzz, Flanger, Bit Crash, Phaser, Pitch-Shifter, Low Boost and Delay (with panning and tempo synch). You can have up to 5 effects running simultaneously making for some very interesting textures. Dedicated controls for tweaking the effects to your liking are within easy grasp on the top panel.
Two handy USB ports allow for Hi-Speed direct connection to your Mac or PC using just one cable. You can stream the Roland GAIA SH-01’s audio directly into the DAW of your choice, as well as send and accept MIDI data. The 2nd USB port allows for connection to a Hi-Speed Flash memory stick to back up your important data easily and quickly.
While it’s powerful with a rich set of performance and recording features, the Roland GAIA SH-01 is lightweight, compact and portable. Weighing in at a mere 9.5 lbs and able to operate for approximately 5 hours on DC 9 V or rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries, you can bring your GAIA SH-01 virtually anywhere so pick one up today and start tweaking history.
Included with the GAIA SH-01 is the Owners Manual, Guide Book, CD-ROM (USB Driver), DVD Video, AC Adaptor (PSB-1U).
