First off I had this bass now for 3 years, in it I learned alot about things I didn't know before.
One is the P pickup is sorta flat sounding not bad at all if the strings are taken care of but, if the strings are more than a week old it's sound dramaticly becomes hollow. But, that's the only bad thing in the electronic department. Plus, it's no big problem and not noticible if you play in the middle of the P and Jazz pickups.
Now the other gripes are small and relativly minor in that the knobs are still all black and you can't see where they are unless you dot them with white out and finally in closing I recommend everyone who buys this take it to a professional bass tech to set it up once a year as this will definatly prolong your bass's life and also after three years I learned that I have a bass that I've still not outgrown as it plays great is light and very easy to take care of. Plus it came with a lifetime replacement plan, so even if I did outgrow it in 3 years I'd be stupid to get rid of it as it's the best bass I've ever played BAR NONE.

I usually play a long scale neck, but wanted a smaller, light bass to carry around in the car or whatever. This is perfect! It sounds better than basses in its class, it's inexpensive and feels very good when you play it. I've had it for a couple years and I'm still very happy with it.

This would be a perfect bass for beginners as it's a full sized bass that's lots of fun and sounds good, so it will inspire them to want to play. Also perfect for experienced players who want something light and inexpensive to carry around. It isn't a Rickenbacher, but it's a lot more than I expected for the price in every way :)

I bought it after saving up for a year.
It was the most I SPENT on ANYTHING in my LIFE!
I remember playing it and saying "Yep, this is the one!" It was awesome the tone was really dark. But ,if you play with your fingers you can get a great grunge/power ballad tone. I personally love a pick (Dunlop Ultex 1mm) and with it I get a Metal tone so dark I named my bass Sinister. She is a versatile bass. She can sing out my passions or sing out my anger and even sing out my heart. If your a beginner who is looking for a reliable first guitar go for this leave the others on the wall.

I owned this since Jan. 18 I belive. It was a late B-Day Present. I saved a whole year for it.
I got it in black very nice. Body is a very light resonate agathis. The headstock is very shark like which is cool. I love the sound it is capable of producing. I love the way it sounds with a pick though I think it's lacking on the finger department. But, it's still a great bass better than the Squiers atleast to me. Because face it you get a Jazz and P pick! You don't have to choose. But, it's hard to choose the volume for the pickups because there is no white dot but, a dot of white out solves that prob.
All in all it's a great bass one I plan on having for a long time. It's perfect for those beginner metal heads.

"My first bass. Right out of the box it was playable(needed tuning though)! I am about to buy another bass soon but this one will always be part of my arsenal. This bass is really durable and has better sound than most expensive basses my friends have.I encountered one problem with the knobs. They came loose. Other than that this is a perfect bass, and i love it to death."
