looks sturdy,but the parts fit loosely together, in fact the seat and backrest tend to "wobble" a bit when moving, actually making a load clicking noise from time to time.(and I'm an average guy) the backrest for me does not adjust close enough to the seat to provide much support. paint is already chipping where the parts come together.the footrest also wobbles, and the rubber "grips" slide right off the end of the tube in a matter of minutes. I suppose one could put some washers in place to take up the slack in the parts to tighten them up, but one shouldn't have to do that. I'll be sending it back.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge, huge Quik-Lok fan. I own several of their keyboard stands and other accessories. That led me to purchase the D-749. Problems started when the foot rest came apart and there's no easy way to repair it. The bolts that go through the frame aren't replaceable. Shortly after those parts wore out, the same thing happened to the bolts that attach the seat to the main structure. I ended up on the floor and luckily, wasn't hurt. The bolt that holds the seat in place isn't replaceable either. If Quik-Lok correct those problems, it would be a good product. I've contacted them with no response. Thanks for appreciating my business.

[...] it is well made and built like a piece of nautilus equipment. I've been playing long enought to recognize something of this sort as being functional or not.This is what I needed. It is a little heavy, once assembled, but that usually means tough. I have gone through the adjustments and they are easy to set, and very user friendly. My back and behind will be more comfortable on those 1 hr sets I am sure.

I've searched high and low for the perfect guitarist's stool...one that is adjustable, easy to transport and comes with a back and foot rest. Well, this is it!!! [...] but the material and construction quality is very good since it's made in Italy. First impression out of the box, I thought it was excercise equipment! This thing is built like a tank, and it looks futuristic! I spent only a few minutes putting it together...very easy. It took me a couple days of trying out various adjustment heights for the seat/back/foot rest until I found the perfect combination for playing comfort. I used to get a sore rear-end and back from playing on a cheap folding chair...not anymore!!! The back rest and wide seat cushion material is very high quality. If this came with a swivel seat, I would give it 5 stars...but so far, I don't see one on the market with all these extra features. You won't be disappointed!!! Good job, Quik-Lok!!!
