Promark JH27 Jonathan Hass Double Headed Timpani Mallets
The new Jonathan Haas mallet is the JH27 which is a two-headed mallet. It combines the staccato felt head of the JH2 with the wooden head of the JH7. The JH27 was created specifically to meet the requirements for the solo timpani piece, MARCH (from Eight Pieces for Four Timpani by American composer Elliot Carter). Quick changes are also required by Richard Strauss’ Don Juan, and by a number of Mahler symphonies. The JH27 features an attractive stained Japanese oak handle for comfort and durability.
