The Primacoustic Voxguard employs a high-density, open cell acoustic foam liner mounted onto light yet resilient ABS plastic. This enables the Voxguard to effectively absorb and reflect sounds at the same time. Since the VoxGuard is 50% larger than comparable products, noise flanking is significantly reduced and performance vastly improved. However, at 3.5 lbs, the Voxguard is lighter in weight than some competing products so accidental mic stand tip-overs are no longer a concern. The Primacoustic Voxguard also excels in additional applications such as desktop Podcasting or shielding instruments from each other in a live recording situation, and is mountable on various types of mic stands.
