I've using this app for 3 years now. The same one. Of course, it's a lil wearer out. But I can't complain about it. Good distortion sound, delay, reverb, wah. And I been laying in concerts and church as a soloist and this have been my back up

I absolutely love it!! had it for a year with no issues.gonna by a bigger one..just wish they would include the footswitch with the bigger ones cuz they would have already sold 2 more to me and my other guitarist.he has the 30 watt and loves it as well

I compared several inexpensive modeling amps before settling on the Peavey. It appeared to the have the cleanest sound and most features. There are a lot of parameters that can be adjusted, but in my experience Peavey has done a suitable job making the controls intuitive.

This lil' combo will surprise you in how much sound it can create, much louder than expected. Nice size and typical overbuilt Peavey construction, you shouldn't be disappointed.

The reviewer that is blaming the amp on ruining his cable must have some other issue causing the problem. How can an amp damage an instrument cable... either physically or electronically? I've used a variety of cables from vintage Whirlwinds to new cheap "no name" brands and have experienced no damage or problems.

I bought this a few weeks ago from our local music store and got a fairly good deal on it. After getting it home and playing it, it sounds terrible. It makes a whining noise at higher volume and the settings are difficult to configure to get the sound you want out of it. I think its a good idea its just not powerful enough for me. I am going to keep the one I bought but I really only use it for practice. It I had the decision to make over again I would either buy the smallest tube version of the Vypyr or AT LEAST the 30 watt version.

I don't know if I can recommend this amp to anyone - my advice go to a store and play on it first to see if you like it and if it sounds good to you (I know if I would have been able to I would have made a better decision)

On a side note I did write a similar review on the Peavey website and they did have a rep call me. The rep basically just said he was sorry to hear that I was unhappy - but thanks for spending your money on it. On one hand I'm happy they took the time to call me and get my opinion but on the other it was just a waste of both of our times. Anyway happy amp hunting!

I love the different sounds this thing can do. AC/DC and Metallica to Phish and Grateful Dead, you can tweak it to sound pretty close to the artist and music you are playing.
The only downside is the bass is a bit weak when played at about 5 or higher, but it is only a 15 watt amp. Also adjusting settings takes a little getting used to. Don't let that hold you back though, you will figure out what does what soon enough, after messing with the controls. After all that is the beauty of this amp, the adjust ability to play clean country pickin or your hardest head banging metal.

This amp is great i got this a year ago and i'm still amazed that this small amp meets up to my needs in effects and style of playing it takes a while to figure out the groove to the sounds but i gotta say this a grat amp to start out with

I got one, it wasmy first electric amp, but within 6 month, the amp really wrecked my instrumental cable (the cable doesn't work anymore), I would recommend this to anyone who can afford a ton of new cables!
