The Pearl VSX drums combines Birch and Basswood in their shells to provide a complete and balanced response.  Birch provides a tight sound to accent high and mid frequencies while Basswood is softer that provides better low frequencies.  By adjusting the overall balancing of one ingredient to the other allows a fine tuning of frequency response.  This quality is enhanced by the design of the lugs, mounts and brackets.  The TLT100 lugs provide high strength ease of tuning with miniscule shell contact to let the voice of the shell ring to its fullest potential.   The BT300 bracket and I.S.S. mount provides the ultimate in strength and complete shell isolation for superior resonance, volume and maximum sustain.

Other features include two ply ProTone batter heads for tuning ease and a full rich sound while the bass drum features the Perimeter EQ heads for optimal tone.  The two top rack toms mount on the bass drum and the TH900 tom arms offer an infinite range of motion for superior tom placement and strength.

The included snare drum is the very popular SensiTone that provides extreme sensitivity combined with amazing tone and clarity with a steel shell that projects extreme volume with articulate response for dynamic power and cut.  The SR900 Duo-Motion strainer can be converted from side lever action to Gladstone type and has a large adjustment knob for fine tuning for superior snare sensitivity.

Vision's 900 Series hardware provides the ultimate combination of rugged durability and innovative functionality. As with all of our Advanced Hardware you get professional high strength dependability with sure grip over-sized rubber feet and out parallel Sure Struts that resist lateral twisting to prevent squeaks and instability.  Included is a BC-900 Boom Cymbal Stand, a C-900 Cymbal Stand, a P-900 Single Bass Drum Pedal, a H-900 Hi-Hat stand and a S-900 Snare Drum Stand.
