Pearl RF Reference Series 4 Piece Shell Set in Root Beer Fade (No Snare Drum)
The Pearl Reference Series is a complete set of individually engineered drums combining various woods and bearing edges to bring the best out of each drum. This shell set consists of 10" x 8", 12" x 9", 14"x11" toms and a 22" x 18" kick drum. The 10" tom has 4 plies of of Maple with 2 inner plies of Birch for cut and attack. The 12" tom has 6 plies of Maple for a smooth, well balanced tone, the only single wood shell in the series. Both the 10" and 12" toms feature a 45° bearing edge for a more focused head to shell contact and a boost in mid to higher range frequencies. The 14" tom has 4 outer plies of Maple but adds 2 inner plies of Mahogany to increase the lower frequenices and accentuate the warmth of the Maple. The 22" bass drum incorporates an amazing 6 inner plies of Mahogany surrounded by 2 outer plies of Maple for the ultimate in solid response. Both the 14" tom and 22" bass drum feature a fully rounded bearing edge for maximum shell contact for a boost in mid to low range frequencies.
Other features include OptiMount tom brackets which provide tom stability with maximum resonance. The BRL Bridge Lugs have a swivel function that allows for perfect head seating and the ultimate in tuning intergrity.
All of these features are wrapped up in a beautiful Granite Sparkle high gloss finish.
