Ovation MT37-5 Celebrity Deluxe Mick Thomson Ltd Edition Acoustic Electric Guitar
Mick Thomson, lead guitarist for Slipknot, partnered with Ovation’s R&D team to design every aspect of this Limited Edition guitar. With its deluxe AA solid-spruce top and scalloped X-bracing, the MT37 is the loudest and fastest shredder in Ovation’s arsenal. The guitar boasts Ovation’s Contour Bowl composite body, which maximizes acoustic output and is ergonomically designed for comfort in any playing position.
Soundports on the bass-string side of Ovation’s sculpted composite body enhance lower-frequency punch and projection. Made from hard-rock maple for maximum sustain, the neck has a custom electric-style profile to facilitate fast runs along the entire fretboard. Other details include a black-texture top finish, a gloss black neck finish, and a custom “Seven” truss-rod cover engraving. The MT37’s OP-Pro preamp and OCP-1K pickup produce uncompromising plugged-in performance.
Contour Bowl
Made from glass-microsphere impregnated Lyrachord composite, Ovation’s Contour Bowl is designed to provide maximum acoustic response with the feel of a small-body instrument. Sculpted to fit the contour of the player’s anatomy, the lightweight Lyrachord GS body is a joy to hold, whether sitting or standing. A Contour Bowl body has the acoustic projection, midrange punch, and huge bottom end of a traditional jumbo-style instrument, yet offers the playing comfort of Ovation’s Super-Shallow body. With its tough-as-nails construction, this body shape represents the latest evolution of Ovation’s pioneering roundback design.

Designed in collaboration with jazz guitarist Al Di Meola and acoustic rocker Melissa Etheridge, the OP-Pro combines state-of-the-art audio quality with exclusive features designed to meet the needs of professional guitarists. The easy-to-operate unit offers 3-band EQ, a preset tone enhancement circuit, a battery status light, and a chromatic tuner. The OP-Pro will please even the most discriminating player.
