Nikki Sixx, a legend among bassists and one of founding members of Mötley Crüe, one of the most influential rock bands in history, approached Ovation about building a custom bass. Ovation took on the project with a vengeance and built an acoustic/electric bass that would best reflect Sixx’s notorious monster sound. Ovation made Sixx a custom Elite T bass complete with a custom paint job featuring red flame finish and iron cross inlays. Electronics are powered by a customized Ovation OP PRO preamp…which best reflects Nikki’s brute tone and style.
