This is the second one I just ordered. Using second one for a fully weighted 88 keyboard. All other Z-Stands with two and three tiers are also On-Stage Stands in my 'U-shaped' synth-based studio, as they are built like a tank! This accommodates a second tier as it has to open rectangular slots in back, even with table surface, one on each side of where table expands, so your second tier will expand as well. I do not gig but all one would have to do while transporting this to keep legs from flipping out is use a couple bungie cords--simple! There is absolutely no assembly and ALL adjustable places have secure lock-downs. This allows one to have full leg space or area to place other equipment but the one in wired-up set-up with a second tier on it is where my studio cat's cushion on footlocker "throne" is. There's also some useful round openings on flat table surface that can serve as cable management.

After searching for some time for a good, study stand for a Yamaha piano, this was recommended to me by [@]. I love it! It is totally supportive--no keyboard rocking back and forth. Also, it's inexpensive, is adjustable in both height and width, and folds for carrying. The only disadvantage is that the legs don't "lock" or secure when folded, so I have to carry it just the right way to keep it from unfolding.
