Ibanez Montage Flame Maple Top Acoustic Electric Guitar (Trans Red Sunburst) Since you are a busy working musician, you may be required to play with an electric and acoustic guitar sound in one song. In that case, what do you do? Play the acoustic part with an electric guitar? Or have another guitarist play the acoustic part? In any case, you're not really satisfied, are you? Ibanez proudly offers the Montage series guitars to those busy working musicians. You can get both sounds, from purely clear acoustic to heavily distorted electric, in one guitar. Your dilemma is now no longer an issue. Just grab one Montage series guitar, and you're set for the gig. The Montage is an electric and acoustic hybrid guitar with a DSP based preamp. That means you can get not only acoustic guitar sounds, but also clean electric and distorted electric sounds. You can also mix each electric guitar sound with acoustic guitar sounds using the 5-way lever switch. Each sound has an individual volume control so that you can have an ideal balance between acoustic guitar sounds and either clean or distorted electric guitar sounds. Also with the distorted electric guitar sound, an analog gain control lets you adjust for a natural and warm distortion tone. Along with the Digital based preamp, the 2-band notch filter allows you to control frequency more precisely. It also includes controllable digital Reverb, Chorus, 3-band tone control, and phase reverse. Flying Top Construction "Flying Top" construction was developed by Swiss luthier, Lukas Brunner, and this construction has been applied to Brunner's own unique instruments (for more information on Brunner Guitars, please visit www.brunner-guitars.com). Instead of an X-bracing pattern, the top is reinforced with a thin piece of spruce that is graduated towards the edges, and supported at a single point by a "flying brace" attached to the sides. This provides an ideal combination of strength, weight, stiffness and flexibility that frees the top to vibrate evenly at all frequencies, bringing you sparkling tone, exceptional balance and extraordinary responsiveness.
