Martin SWDGT Special Edition Sustainable Wood Acoustic Guitar
Another limited-edition beauty from CF Martin, the SWDGT is made from sustainable solid cherry, along with a solid Sitka spruce top for a unique, elegant look. The neck is also sustainable cherry, topped with a sustainable Katalox fingerboard (with matching bridge). These are woods not found in other guitars and give it a sound all its own! Additional features include a White Corian nut, large-knob Gotoh gold tuners, ivoroid saddle, and polished gloss finish. Comes with hardshell case.

Got this guitar at my local Sam Ash in Raleigh this past weekend. Just a wee bit less bass than rosewood, excellent sustain that just seems to ring forever. Makes picking notes ring clearer. My first experience with a Cherry sides and back/spruce top instrument. I am impressed. The greatest thing is the price. You will love everything about this instrument.

Bought a year ago at my local Sam Ash store. better looking than many Martins because of the binding and headstock. Beautifully bookmatched back and sides, Sound is brighter than most Martins with a sustain that goes on forever, it seems. The cherry wood seems harder than mohogany and the cherry neck seems to hold it's shape better than other Martins I have owned, needing very little adjustment. Action is very quick and the guitar is very, very responsive. I had a Fishman pickup installed by Martin, which I highly recommend anyone considering purchasing this guitar to do. Amplified, the sound is excellent.

THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS THE COLOR OF THE SITKA TOP. AS SOON AS I PLAYED IT I KNEW I WAS GOING TO BUY IT AND THERE WAS HUGE SELECTION OF OTHER GUITARS THAT COSTED TWICE AS MUCH. INTONATION WAS PERFECT AND THE PLAYABILITY DOESNT GET MUCH BETTER. I KNOW THERES OTHER MARTINS THAT COST MUCH MORE BUT THERES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MODEL THAT MAKES IT GREAT.
