The Martin OM-1GT Acoustic Guitar boasts Martin’s traditional “000” or “Orchestra” body style with a bookmatched Sitka Spruce soundboard and Martin’s Modified Hybrid “X” scalloped bracing. The back and sides are constructed from African sapele, which possesses a similar aesthetic and tone as mahogany and delivers that famous Martin tone.
The neck is constructed from a composite material known as rust stratabond, which is made of multiple thin strips of wood laminated together and is also used on Martin’s X-series guitars. This is an extra durable material and it is shaped into Martin’s famous low-oval profile capped off with an Solid East Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The satin finish on the neck provides comfort and ease of playability.
