The Mapex Black Panther Phantom gets its name from the very subtle look combined with the snares ability to deliver haunting ghost notes up to rim shots that are deafening. The combination of birch and walnut makes the 5.1mm shell sing and respond a momenets notice.
The snare comes equippped with the new Mapex Sonic Saver hoops. The new design of this hoop not only delivers cross sticks and rim sshots like you have never heard them before but because of the curved shape of the hoops surface the wear and tear on your hands is minimized. Addtionally Mapex has added a new piston style strainer and butt plate that is not only quiet and smooth but the tensioning knob is notched to prevent any snare slippage.
