Malletech OR42B Orchestra Mallets
Hard, Medium weight.
A medium weight mallet that is clean, bright and full at all dynamic levels. Model OR42 will sound slightly darker than model OR39 at low dynamic levels due to its higher mass, which produces greater fundamental response. Excellent for synthetic xylophone. Birch shaft.
The four models in the Orchestra Series are constructed of the materials and weights selected by professional players as having the most practical application to the major orchestral parts of the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. All orchestra models have 1 1/8 inch diameter heads.
