The Ludwig LJR106 junior drumset is an ideal way to get the younger beginner started, while introducing them to one of the most famous names in drums. It features high-quality shells and includes the necessary hardware: a bass drum pedal, snare stand, straight cymbal stand, hi hat stand, and throne. It even includes a crash/ride cymbal and a pair of hi hats. Drum sizes: 10x16" bass drum, 10x13" floor tom, 5x10" and 5x8" toms, and 4x12" snare. I just got for my birthday and I am 11 I would defintly recommend this to anybody. Even though it doesn't come with instuctions it is easy to put together. overall I think there awesome drums.

I bought these for my four year old son for chrstmas and they are small just right for him he said daddy uma be a rock star and it really delighted me I played in a band a few years ago and when I tell you these drums have big sound believe me not poorly made not a toy maybe later On i will purchase bigger Hi hat and crash and maybe a bass pedal but over all pretty good set even my wife try to play...lol ...of you think of getting this set ....Go for it

The drums dont come with instructions,go to youtube theres a video.Easy to put together,great sound,look great,only problem is the threaded rod for the hi-hat stripped out after 5 min.of playing.I called Sam Ash and they said to try a store(we bought on line)they said they cant help us.I hope we dont get a run around because other than that the experiance has been a good one.

I have been playing drums for over 40 years. I purchased these drums today for my 3 and 5 year old grandchilden to play in our music room.

From the minute I opened the box, I was very impressed! The construction and finish were of very high quality. In fact, the Wine Red set that I bought matched my Cherry Stain Ludwig Classic Maple jazz kit nicely. And after I added an Aquarian Kick Pad to the bass drum and some Moongel muffling gel to the snare drum and toms, this little kit actually sounded like my kit . . . but on a smaller scale.

The hardware was very sturdy. I was surprised to find that it even included memory locks on the tom holders! The only improvement that I suggest is that it would have been great if the ride cymbal was 12 or 14 inches instead of 10 inches and if the high hat cymbals were 10 inches instead of 8 inches.

Overall, this kit is well worth the money. They are real drums, but on a smaller scale. My 3 and 5 year old grand daughters each played and sang along to Taylor Swift's "Love Story" about 5 times in a row. I think that I have two Karen Carpenters in the making!

I Just got this drum set for my 3yr old son and he love's it. I also like how it looks and sounds great for the money [$]. When I started to put it to gather, there were no instruction's on how to assemble it. But that was ok. I just went online to Ludwig.comand went to (SUPPORT) and then to ( SET UP AND PLAY VIDEO) . got it together in about 30 minutes.

A huge set up from the garbage they sell at [...], etc., name brand you could resell if your child changes their mind. Set-up will be made much easier for novices if you follow the directions at Pearl drums website, as no instructions are included in the box. Heads great to get pounded on for a while, by the time they wear them out, they'll be ready for good heads. Same for the undersized cymbals.
