Just got this [...] 2yrs old almost new condition for [$] in black. Power series with 12"& 13" toms, OMG it sounds fantastic, did I steal a kit or what? Tama throne and hi-hat cymbals thrown in. New or used this thing can compete.

I bought this set as a second and couldn't believe it sounded better than my original set.Sound was powerful even though it has very shallow toms.Put a port hole on the front bass head and a E-mad on kick side and you'll think your shooting a cannon.Ludwig really out did themselves when they constructed this set.I had know problem with the hardware which by the way might be the same on their more pricier sets.

Great sound. Only problems were that the bolts on the high hat strip easily. Also, the spring on the bass drum pedal broke right away. Not a big deal though. The springs are cheap to replace. This, in my opinion, is one of the best drumsets available. By the way, I play heavy metal and this set is perfect for me!

I would like to start out by saying that this is the best drum set out there for the price, not because I own it, but because I have done my research and found it to be the best in its price range by far. It comes loaded with high quality parts aside from its obviously great shells, the hardware and heads are surprisingly really good. I figured I would have to replace the heads within months as most do with the stock heads but it has been about 5 months and I am still banging away. I have been playing for nearly 2 years now and I am spoiled with this set, coming home from the drum studio after playing on their set for an hour, I am amazed at the difference. Every aspect of this drum set has surprised me in its quality and I have yet to come across any large problems. One small one that I did come across however, was that when trying the make the legs of the bass drum longer so that it sat properly on the ground I needed to take the entire leg off and apart with an alanwrench before being able to adjust it. This took about a half hour to do after finding out that I needed to take it apart. One thing to keep in mind is that when you're adjusting the toms make sure you hold onto them extra tightly or put a towel down because when you are sitting down, they are fairly heavy and you’re in an awkward position which may cause them to fall, common knowledge but a mistake I made. If you are hesitant and trying to decide between some sets, you will not be sorry if you get this one. BUY BUY BUY!!!
