The B-55 gives the beginning or budget-conscious bassist a lot of style and playability for not a lot of cash. It has an agathis body with a maple neck that's cut slim to accommodate for the wider radius. The rosewood fingerboard has 24 frets and the model name logo at the 12th fret. A set of ESP LDJ and LPD pickups provide a variety of tones, from gentle to floor-moving. Trimmed in all-black hardware. Case not included.
Comments about ESP LTD B55 5 String Bass (Assorted Colors):
A friend bough for me this bass in USA and sent it to me to Mexico, bass came with broken knob (knob was not inside the box so it was not a material handling issue), bass came with a hit mark in fret arm (once I was playing this was not big deal only string needed to be replaced). Adjustment is not proper since there is a lot of fret buzz in middle of arm. I had to correct all issues and buy a knob, this is a very good bass guitar with nice sound, good for slapping (talking about 5-S bass) and it is always nice to have a ESP bass.

Comments about ESP LTD B55 5 String Bass (Assorted Colors):
This is an awesome Bass Guitar. I play many different styles of music and different techniques of playing, and this Bass feels comfortable with all of them. I like the shape/size of the neck, and the separation of the strings. The electronics are nice quality (no scratching noises when turning up/down volume, etc). With an Adjustment to the bridge the fret noise can be eliminated so check that if it is annoying you.I personally don't like the square-ness of the body, could be a lot more rounded. Weight balancing is perfect and its not to heavy. [...] I dislike the strings that came with it, they seem like slinky's but i haven't tried those so I don't know for sure. All round a great Bass for the money.

Comments about ESP LTD B55 5 String Bass (Assorted Colors):
I went into the Richmond Sam Ash store for my birthday, and I was looking for a good bass that was inexpensive, and I have always like the ESP/Ltd styles, and then I finally saw this one, and I knew right there that I wanted it. It is my 3rd bass, and I recommend it to anyone interested in or already plays 5 string, it's a heavier bass, which personally I like. Beginners can buy this, but I think its better for someone who has been playing longer. I've been playing for 11 years, and this is by far the best bass I have had.

Comments about ESP LTD B55 5 String Bass (Assorted Colors):
I bought this for my first 5-string and it has a really good feel to it. It's good for beginning 5-stringers. It gives good sound other than the fret buzz it gives off. Other than that, it's a pretty good bass. Nice pick-ups and weight. And it's affordable for the cheap people. Heh.
