The Assault 220 is powered dual Alnico V humbucking pickups with a master volume, master tone with push/pull coil-splitting for additional single-coil sounds, and a 3-way selector. These pickups will deliver a wide range of tones from retro, to up to the minute metal. The Volume on the Kramer Assault 220 guitar features what Kramer calls the "treble bleed" mod that lets you keep your tone bright when backing down the volume control.
The set-in mahogany 25.5" scale neck has been carved into an ultra-fast thin taper profile and topped with 24 Jumbo frets on an ebony fingerboard for extremely fast playability and effortless string-bending. Finally, the black hardware includes a set of die-cast tuners; along with a Tune-o-matic bridge that will stabilize tuning and string-tru body design that will stabilize tuning and give you sustain for days.
