Korg TM40 Digital Tuner Metronome
Musicians, here is an opportunity to slim down your arsenal with precision and style! The Korg Combo Digital Tuner/Metronome gives you two quality accessories in one sleek, compact, easy to use tool. The true joy of the Korg TM40 is found in the simplicity of its design. On the left side is the tuner, and on the right side is the metronome. You can use each function separately or together simultaneously. The Tuner There are 2 different ways to determine pitch and they’re both present at the same time. One is a large LCD-type needle located right in the center of the unit while just above, bright green and red LED lights display pitch deviation. When the center green light glows, you know you’ve hit the perfect in-tune sweet spot. The Korg TM-40’s built-in speaker produces a tuning reference pitch allowing you to tune by ear along with the visual references. Selectable reference pitch from A5 to B4 (common for wind instruments) is as easy as pressing the Sound switch. You can adjust the calibration to many different tuning standards to suit your needs. Memory backup retains your settings even after you’ve powered down. The highly sensitive built-in microphone picks up your instrument’s sound with ease and precision. In addition, the optional CM-100L contact microphone can be used to send vibrations directly to the tuner. The Metronome 13 different rhythms are onboard covering a wide range of styles. You can adjust the tempo from 40 to 208 bpm and easily adjust the volume. Rhythms such as doublets, triplets, quadruplets are on hand, as well as all of the above with center beats omitted, offering you just the right variation for your practicing needs. You can adjust the tempo value in either full-step or pendulum-step. The Korg TM40 also has a tap-tempo function so matching your tempo to a CD or trying to figure out what the band’s tempo is can easily be achieved. Here also the memory backup retains your tempo and beat calibration even when you power down and power up again. The auto power off features comes in way handy as it shuts off the TM-40 when not in use for 20 minutes, extending battery life. Is the Korg TM-40 the perfect tuner/metronome combination for you? Yes, indeed it is.
