Korg Kaossilator Pro Dynamic Phrase Synthesizer
The Korg Kaossilator Pro is a tabletop touch-pad synthesizer capable of a slew of professional functionality, first and foremost enabling you to make incredible, memorable original music. Where the original Kaoss pad heralded a whole new way to open musical creativity to everyone, the new Kaossilator Pro takes the concept to a whole new level. It essentially puts four Kaossilators into one unit with 200 all new sounds. You can play the Kaossilator Pro like an instrument, use it as an effects box, use it as a sampler, or a combination of all three.
Slide or tap your fingers across the Kaossilator touchpad and experience the thrill of driving pulsating rhythms and beats, synth and bass lines, solos and almost anything you can imagine. While this is a serious performance and recording instrument, it is also a great deal of fun to play.

Everything from acoustic and electronic drums, synths, leads, guitars, bass, special FX, orchestral instruments…you name it, is right there at your fingertips (literally..) ready for groove-building duty. Whether we’re talking Techno, House, R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Reggae or electro, The Korg Kaossilitator Pro is up to the task of creating lively, vivid, intense rhythms and musical patterns that lift your music to the next level and beyond.
Terrific drum sounds
The KAOSSILATOR PRO gives you both modeled drum sounds and a new PCM sound generator with even more realistic drum sounds arranged in kits across the X-Y pad. The Kaossilator Pro features 20 drum sounds for kick, snare, and hi-hat etc., and 25 rhythm loop patterns to get your inspiration going.
15 Vocoder Programs
A microphone input jack allows you to plug in your mic and take advantage of 15 types of Vocoder programs. You can change the sound of your voice into a synthesizer, robot, or other sounds, making for some great creativity options to add to your music.
Gate Arpeggiator with Tap Tempo
The Gate Arpeggiator enables you to synch patterns of sounds into perfect tempo. You can create complex, out of this world phrases, going as far as your imagination takes you. Perhaps even further! Set your tempo manually or tap it in real time using the Tap-Tempo feature.
Four Loop Recorder Banks for DJ-style performances
DJs are familiar with the technique of building songs from looped phases. Get that on steroids with the Kaossilator Pro and its four built-in Loop Recorders. You can layer to your heart’s content, overdubbing more and more sounds one at a time. There’s no limit as to how many layers you can generate. This is where your creativity can really take flight as you effortlessly build complex loops that you can save to the Loop Recorder banks. The banks can be combined but you still have separate control over each one. Length, mute, and volume of loops can all be adjusted in real-time so the music never stops…truly a DJs delight! But wait…you can also import audio via the line inputs and/or mic input and loop those as well. Things are really starting to get loopy…
MIDI and USB connections
Connections include MIDI I/O which you can use to control your favorite software titles or external MIDI device. You can also send and receive MIDI clock. A handy USB port allows hookup to a storage device to backup your creations as well as transfer loops to your favorite DAW for further embellishment or use in a song that would benefit from the stellar Korg sounds onboard the Kaossilator Pro. There is also an RCA stereo pair of outputs and a ¼” Stereo Headphone jack for private listening.
SD Card Storage (not compatible with SDHC cards and SDXC cards)
An SD card slot allows you to store your loops, data, settings and phrases to a handy SD card. It will allow you to instantly save your ideas on the spot for later use when there’s no computer in sight.
Free Editor Software
A dedicated software editor is included for managing your data and MIDI assignments. The Kaossilitator Pro Editor is available as a free download from the Korg.com website.
