Woofie helps to avoid unpleasant surprises by accurately previewing the subwoofer signal before the encoding/decoding process. Bass redirection provides control over playback from a variety of speaker arrangements, (e.g. a system without a subwoofer – horror!). And for precision, you have control over both filter type and order.
Tweetie addresses issues that arise in monitoring during surround sound production: the need to measure levels and calibrate speakers; and the need to adapt monitoring conditions for different applications.
It is important in a surround listening environment to ensure that individual speakers are calibrated and present the same levels to the listener. To test levels and calibrate speakers, Tweetie both generates test signals from your Pro Tools system and provides trim level control. Adjustable delays on each channel compensate for speaker type and placement.
Different surround applications require different mix levels. Tweetie compensates for these conditions by quickly and accurately changing the overall reference level. A dim button provides an instant 20dB signal reduction. Controls over individual mutes and solos and master mute control are provided. Tweetie also provides intelligent downmixing from 5.1 to stereo to preview your mix for non-surround playback.
