I played this SOP and a Selmer using a Otto Link 5* with a Vandoren 2.5 V16 reed at the local Sam Ash store. The Selmer had a very Bright tone while the KG tone was warm & silky which is mainly due to the slightly larger bore size. The Selmer G# key was sticking which instantly turned me off. The action on the KG is very good at this price point. While it is not a Model 53 Paris nor Yani S991 it is far better than other brands at this price point. If you cant get a decent tone from this SOP I would check the setup. Putting a good mouth piece on the thing and quality reed changes the whole game. Many players play a reed that is far too soft and think the stock mouth piece is going to do the trick. For a instrument that is designed by one of the best repair techs in the world you really can't go wrong at this price point.

This knockoff is not worth the money. Save your money and put it toward a Yani or Selmer. You will be glad you did.
