"The ""16610 Piano Tuning Lever"" sold by this company has a square tip. No modern-day piano has tuning pins to support the use of this tool. The proper tuning lever for virtually any piano made after 1900 would be such as those found in piano supply catalogs (International Piano Supply or Schaff for instance) that have a ""star"" tip. Using a sqare tip on a square, but tapered tuning pin will cause significant damage to the head of the pin."
