The latest in the line of Jean Baptiste saxophones, the 686TL is a remarkably sturdy yet gracefully playing student tenor sax. This deluxe Eb alto sax features a new neck design for improved intonation as well as redesigned key support arms and height adjustment screws. The 686TL is outfited with leather pads and metal resonators giving this horn a full sound with great projection; and improved low C response affords the player that extra kick in the low end.
Designed with the growing student in mind, an adjustable metal thumb rest allows this horn to grow with the player and remain in an ergonomically correct position for comfort and technicque. The high F# key gives this horn the full range that many student instruments lack, while stainless steel springs provide quick responsive action giving this horn very reliable articulation.
The Jean Baptiste 686TL comes with a deluxe lightweight hard foam case as well as a strap and mouthpiece providing everything a player needs to start practicing right away.
