Mind you I have been a Jackson player for almost the entire 19 years of my playing life before you read this review. Since Fender has baught Jackson their quality has began to go down the drain quickly. I own several Jackson Kelly JK-20 that are still stock and are pre-Fender era. I was not expecting top of the line with this guitar, but atleast some of the decent quality pre-Fender Jackson put in the rest of their guitars. This quality and craftsman ship are the reasons why you see so few famous Jackson players still playing Jacksons. The first thing I had to do as soon as I got the guitar was replace the pickups they are so muddy you strum an open E chord and you can't even hear the high E B and G strings because they are drowned out. If you do even a 1/2 bend it throws the entire guitar out of tune, and it is bad enough that it already goes out of tune all the time already. You don't even want to get me started on the quality of the rest of the electronics on this guitar either. Their is only one reason I haven't sold this guitar (I don't know if I could with this quality), and that is my three year old son likes it and likes to strum the strings and act like he is playing the guitar. If it wasn't for him liking to play around with the guitar I would have tossed it to the curb a long time ago.

I wasnt even looking into buying a guitar. I didnt even have the money. My friend comes to me with this guitar he was going to buy for[$]bucks and couldnt afford it but, either could I. When I played it my hands fell in love, so i found the money to buy it. It works well with sweeps and arpageos (sorry if spelled wrong). Shreds like a beast. The pickups could use a little more natural growl but just alittle more mids makes up for it. When i first picked up this guitar i was NOT expecting this playability. its not a gibson or prs but very recomended for any guitarist from beginner to pro. I cant wait till i get my hands on a set neck model.

Everything is good at this guitar exept for the main nut out of plastic. It will be worn-out and then you must raise the stable so mutch that you can´t play it good anymore. so if you will by it make sure you´ll get the guitar with a nut made of steel.

I went to the local [...] store to pick up my Gibson Les Paul that I was having professionally set up.While there I was testing out all the High $$$ Ibanez guitars, but none felt that good, not even with the Wizard II necks that everyone raves about.I saw the Jackson on the shelf and picked it up and WOW, this thing rocks.Faster neck than the Ibanez by far, great action, killer sound, I tried not to buy it, but could not resist the low price.So now it is sharing a home with my Fender Strat, Gibson Les Paul, and Gibson SG.....It plays and sounds as good as any of them!

I usually make my own guitars, but after playing one at a local music store and seeing the price, I had to buy it. The neck is super slim and makes for easy playing. The pickups sound great through my spider2 212 and the guitar looks cool.

"I had been looking for a Jackson for awhile. But didn't have alot of money and i found this one it's used black, nice looking with no scratch's. Played it and it sounded great. Good feel, alittle thicker neck than my old Ibanez but not hard to get use to. Not the best balance, but all in all a good player. The Jackson pickup's sound great through a tube amp clean and distortion. All and all very glad i bought it and would buy another."

"I bought the Black model and it really is nice to look at, It has a deeper tone then I expected considering the wood it's made of. It has a very balanced tone both clean and distorted, again, better then I expected. This makes it a great recording Guitar. I've had two problems with this guitar though. First, It is VERY neck heavy, the neck falls to the ground when you let it go. I fixed the problem by moving the rear strap button further into the body to shift the balance point, an easy fix. I also have a slight buzzing in the high E string when I hold the first and second fret, but my Amp doesn't seem to pick it up. The frets are a little rough when you bend the strings, but not bad. All things considered, I'm glad I bought it."
