JBL EON518S 18" Powered Subwoofer
The new generation JBL EON 518S 18” Self-Powered Subwoofer boasts 500 watts of chest-kicking, floor-thumping bass and is the perfect compliment to the entire JBL EON line of professional, self-powered PA speakers.
Employing an 18” Differential Drive woofer, the EON 518S delivers a frequency range of 36Hz-130 Hz with a maximum SPL rating of 129 dB. Beneath the sturdy, rugged, DuraFlex compact enclosure is a built-in Crown Class-D power amp, known for it’s high power output but surprisingly lightweight. The entire subwoofer weighs in at only 65 lbs, a departure from Subwoofers of the past that were inherently bulky, awkward and just plain heavy to carry.
A built-in crossover circuit enables precise distribution of your audio signal to the proper speakers when hooked up to the EON 518S via the stereo loop-thru connector and results in a focused yet widely dispersed low-end signal that can fill the room with ample amounts of low-end signal. Well-lit signal indication LEDs let you know when the power is on as well as when you’re approaching system overload
Connections include a balanced XLR input,1/4” TS phone-jack along with balanced XLR satellite outputs. A built-in limiter circuit protects the EON 518S from overload. There’s a switchable hi-pass filter on the loop-thru outputs.
While the EON 518S was engineered to be a lightweight solution, its build quality is still quite substantial. Constructed of 18 mm plywood, it features a full-screen-backed steel grille and rests inside a copolymer bezel for protection.
A handy built-in 36 mm pole mount socket makes it easy to add an EON satellite to the system, making the JBL EON 518S Self-Powered Subwoofer a compact yet powerful low-end signal solution for your EON PA System. The JBLWarranty on professional loudspeaker products (except for enclosures) remains in effect for five years from the date of the first consumer purchase. JBL amplifiers are warranted for three years from the date of the original purchase. Enclosures and all other JBL products are warranted for two years from the date of the original purchase.
