The JBL EON15 G2 delivers 300 watts of power to a 15-inch Neodymium Differential Drive low frequency driver. The driver boasts a dual neodymium magnet and dual voice coil motor that delivers high output and low distortion from a lightweight woofer. Meanwhile, the high frequency amplifier delivers 100 watts of power to a 1.75" titanium diaphragm compression driver with ferro- fluid cooling.

The EON15 G2 is at home as a main PA or on stage as a monitor or instrument amplification system. Musicians who own an EON speaker can use them singly for casual solo or duo work, or combine multiple EONs into a complete, powerful PA system. Instrumentalists will appreciate the expanded input capabilities of the EON15 G2. With its integral three- input mixer, the EON15 G2 can directly accommodate electronic keyboards, drum machines, electrified acoustic guitars, and microphones. Electric guitarists using the new generation of amplifier modeling modules will find that the clean, full-range sound of EON15 G2 reproduces all of the subtle tones the modules can produce. The new "MIX OUT" feature even provides an output from the internal mixer that can be sent to the main PA, making the EON15 G2 the ideal choice for keyboard or acoustic guitar amplification.

Don't bother with any other powered, 15/ horn, cabinet. JBL has been the leader of this stuff for over 30 years. It weighs only 42 pounds, sounds great indoors and outdoors, durable as all
heck, and, even on stands with the 15" woofer 5+
feet in the air, the low end will surprise you. The rest in it's price range, are 'catch up' models, for public address events i.e; auctions, etc. THESE are purely for reproducing excellant music, be it live or media. You'll buy something else, then here a pair of these somewhere else, and regret it...If you've spent thousands on high-end instruments, don't sacrifice the sound quality
with anything else.

THIS IS THE BEST SPEAKER FOR MOBILE DJ -MUST USE EQ BUILT IN SPEAKER TO ADD BASS AND TREBEL I RUN FLAT SIGNAL OFF THE MIXER [B-52 PRODIGY FX] AND MAKE SHURE YOUR GAIN LIGHTS ON MIXER STAY IN THE GREEN . ADJUST THE GAIN ON EON TO MATCH THE SUB .GREAT PUMPING CLEAR CRISP SOUND. THIS SPEAKER IS ADDICTIVE U WILL NOT WANT TO STOP PLAYING MUSIC. I ADDED TWO OF THE JBL JRX118SP SUB W/2 EON AND THE SOUND IS AMAZING AND THE SYSTEM IS VERY PORTABLE.

I tried several different speakers to hook up to my Motif ES8 keyboard, and these were the only ones that sounded good. They are crystal clear, and do a very good job with low bass organ tones. I use these speakers in the sanctuary whenever I play the keyboard, and for special programs when our choir monitors don't provide the clarity needed for us to stay together. It's amazing, I can play the EON's softer that I have to play our normal choir monitors, and everyone in the choir can hear. If you need a re-locatable speaker to use in different venues, buy the EON15G2's. They are absolutely the best, and worth every penny. You will not be dissapointed.

Looking for quality sound without distortion

"A Journeyman Carpenter by trade, but a musician by heart, my husband is a superb sound-man and musician----No, not just because he's my husband, but because with the JBL 15"" EON second-generation powered speakers, he produces the best quality sound I've ever heard. We purchased the JBL 15"" EON second-generation powered speakers about 6 months ago and my husband was skeptical. He read the manual (that's right, he's a guy and he actually read the instructions), and set the system up. The system consisted of the (2) JBL's 15"" G2 EON powered speakers, a 16 channel Mackie mixer, a kick-butt Mackie subwoofer (2) 31-band equalizers, one voice processor, (1) eight-channel Direct Box, and an additional rack mixer to run the monitors (which will be the JBL 10"" EON second generation powered speakers also). I'm here to tell you, this is the best sound I have ever heard. My husband is of the notion, that you should have more power than you need, so you can turn it down to get the best sound, free of distortion. He says that most musicians do not understand this concept and are continuously turning their systems up as the night goes on. I can't argue with him, because I've heard how it works. I get absolutely no distortion. My ears and the audience's ears do not ring after a performance. We set our system up in a venue, The American Legion, that local musicians call an ""Acoustical Nightmare."" The American Legion Hall is 70' by 100' hall with domed wooden ceilings. We got clear, crisp sound, not only on stage, but in the back of the hall. According to my husband, he only used a fraction of the power this system has and he says I will probably never hear what it is actually capable of. This is my opinion about these speakers: I do home-recording of my music. When I'm on stage with this system, my husband is able to create a sound that is comparable to a recording studio and that's the truth. I am thrilled with the quality of these speakers and if you're thinking about buying these, take the plunge, because you won't regret it. "

The EONs sound very full. 300W for the bass and 100W for the hi end. The cabinets seem like they'll last a very long time. I'd recomend the EON-15G to live bands and Djs. Enjoy.

"works well w/two 15 inch jbl powered eons mounted on tripod poles dj for a catering hall started 4-8-2006 and completed four gigs filled room 250 people played mackie sub at only half way, used eq on numark mixer to add base also great bass and mid,highs from jbl eons eons capable of playing the room by themselves add 1 mackie 15 pwrd sub and the sound is aweseome thinking of adding a second even though i dont really need it. one problem on both jbl and mackie screws became lose on first intial use and i had to hand tighten w/a screwdriver. since then no problems. if u got the cash buy them theysound great."
