This was my first experience ever with a bass. I've had this kit for 5 years, now about to be 6. The bass is great if you're starting off and even good for later uses and after like 6 years it still works great. I love this bass,only complain is the fret buzz but that's about it really.The kit is complete with everything you need to get started but the cable isn't that good, it wont last that long but should last long enough for you to replace it. The DVD was helpful to some extent, it serves it's purpose. The tuner can drive you freaking crazy but don't worry,it takes throws to the floor and wall like a champ :P and the batteries last forever, I still haven't replaced them and I swear on my grave I'm not lying. I don't really use the picks but they're okay. The amp is alright it's great for practicing but that's about it really, sounds decent. The gig bag is great and it will last a while, mine is showing some wear and tear but nothing a little sewing can't fix. The strap lasted me about 3 years but I would recommend you replace it with a more comfortable strap. The headphones aren't that bad actually, they're comfy, sound good, and are great for some silent practicing. I've used the kit for like 6 years and it has been a great ride, I plan to get a new bass so I can give it a rest and hopefully pass it down to my future kid. I would highly recommend this kit to everyone that is starting off, trust me you will not regret it.

Very good but the ibanez GSR200FM is better --cheaper too but isnt a package but for a couple more bucks youll be good to go.

it's great for someone who is just starting to play bass it does have a lot of fret buzz which can be really frustrating

I got this bass a few years back and I still enjoy playing it. Great sound and tone, but fret buzz can be annoying sometimes. Nice amp too. The electronics can become a problem because the soldering for the wires inside wasn't very good quality, but if you can solder, then you're fine. Best thing is the price. Great way to start if you want to become a bass player. Has everything you need. Plus the headphones arent too bad either. Dvd is useful if you've never touched a bass guitar in your life.

I am a guitar palyer but i am now hooked on this bass. It is very good to start out with. You might want to get something better later on like everyone does. But to learn and practice it is very very nice. I have the black one and it is very nice. The extra stuff like wires and headphones... yeah they are not good at all. amp is ok.
