Ibanez ICB300EXBK Extreme Metal Iceman 4 String Bass (Black)

Ibanez's first "Extreme Metal" Iceman bass goes heavy on the black for maximum attitude onstage! The special "EX" pinstriping on the headstock, neck, and body accentuates the most recognized radical body shape in hard and heavy rock. The mahogany material in the body and maple ICB4 neck give it the foundation it needs to rock hard.

The rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium frets and sports a set of pearloid block inlays. The low-end thunder is supplied by a set of PFR-4 pickups, with an EQB-IIDX 2-band EQ allowing you to shape your tone to fit in the mix. The all-black hardware features a set of die cast tuners and an adjustable B100 bridge. Limited one year warranty. Case not included.

I was looking for a bass that had a trustworthy brand, a cool look, good feeling and sound, and all for a reasonable price. I tried Fenders, BC Riches Gibsons, etc. but when I found the Iceman, I knew this was it. Everything is great about this bass. The only thing is that the pickups could be a little better, but they're functional. Anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase.

HAVE BEEN PLAYING THIS BEAST AT PRACTICE AND GIGS AND JUST CAN'T STOP ADMIERING IT'S SOLID ALL ROUND SOUND AND FEEL. EVERYONE WHO HAS PLAYED ON MY BASS HAS COMMENTED ON IT'S SMOOTH NECK AND FRET ACTION. PICKUPS ARE AGRESSIVE YET SMOOTH.

i have owned this bass for about two months now.I am always trying to find that perfect bass that I can play on sundays at church, then turn right around and tear up some metal the rest of the week.This bass does it.Roll back the EQ for a respectable tone and crank it up when your ready to tear it up.the neck is fast, the pickups hold there own,the sustain is unbeleivable,and that classic iceman body is freakin awesome.

i love the shape of this,very metal and all around savage.i tried one o these beasts out at my local guitar center and let me tell you,the sustain is mighty good,the finish flawless.the emg's will kick you in da nutz then come again for another shot. suggest this bass for anyone in need of a metal making low end titan.

"Sounds amazing, looks amazing, lightweight, great sustain and melodic tone, true metal brutality will blow your grandma's socks off and make your mother deaf. The EQ feature allows for a versatile sound. The only flaw is it's top heavy which is to be expected, but is a quick fix with changing the location of the top guitar strap peg. But that's scary cause maybe it won't be worth as much money someday with the changes."
