This was originally a part of a package that was being introduced about 3 years ago with a small 10 Watt amp. I was just recovering from a stroke and needed something to help in the recovery. I purchased this bass and loved it ever since. I have played it in both mid to larger churches and also as a practice bass. I have never experienced a single problem with this bass. I only replaced the strings once due to their feel I was getting from wear. Have a G/K Amp Combo 200 Watt, this bass is more than able to keep up with the amp even during long sessions and services. I say to any one that is embarking on learning to play the bass guitar for the first time, please put your money on this bass. It is a little on the heavy side when playing while standing, but this is also something that can be overcome due to the proper strap and brace for your shoulder. Only reason for replacing it is due to time for an upgrade. Also preparing to begin recording. I say to anyone that is new or looking for just a pracitical pratice insturment, this is the perfect bass for the money. You will not be sorry for one minute or dollar spent.

Made my purchase of this bass after Christamas almost 3 years ago. I was just beginnig to learn to play, and now after all the practice and lots of playing for my and others churches, I plan to let her go. Not because I have to but because I want something that has a more serious, professional sound and tone to it. When I fisrt brought this bass, I had to change the strings on it due to my style of playing (thumb style) Once I swaped out the strings it was all that I wanted to play all the time. In fact I have another model Ibanez and still perfer this one to the newer model, even when playing for Sunday Service or at practice. It has the tendency to produce some hum in the upper stings (E and A) And will from time to time become hard to get the E and A string to produce the correct note you might want to play. It can also be a little heavy after a long period of time on your shoulder and will slide when playing finger style, so be aware of this when you're standing and playing. Despite these small issues, you still have a great piece of musical equiptment to learn to play with and can also be used in emergency situations when your on stage axe is being repaired or if you're just playing for a venue where you don't need to do a lot of major thumb popping or have a lot of professional style playing expectations. If you're just beginning or need a back-up bass, for the money purchase this bass "FOR SURE."

I bought the Ibanez Mikro Bass to bring with me as I travel for my daytime job, easier to lug around than the J-bass. It fits perfectly into the Gator GPE-ELEC-TSA Case(see my review there).

Very nice bass, great tone, comfortable to play, reminiscent of Stanley C's piccolo bass. Great value for both beginner and expert bassists.

I bought this bass to try out an Ibanez since I haven't before, and I can honestly say it is a great buy and i have found no problems with this. Its great for all occasions, and if you are thinking of buying this, you absolutely should.

I was looking for a short scale bass for recording sessions. This 28.6 inch scale Ibanez GSRM20 MIKRO is perfect for guitar players or if a 34 or 30 inch scale is too much of a stretch. The neck is very comfortable and fast. The P and J type pickups sound great, very deep and clean in normal use, but there is a small buzz when the Tone Control is all the way up, but not bad, I am sure we will sort that out.
The quality, fit and finish are beautiful. Plus it is lite weight and about the size of a Strat so it is easy to handle. I simply love this little bass with a big sound. Plus the price is unbeatable. My Sam Ash Music store in Hollywood set it up for me and I could not be happier. My thanks to Sam Ash Music and Ibanez.
