My husband and I went to Sam Ash to get this guitar after reading the reviews on here. When we got there they had 2 of the new ones left. My husband plugged it up and played around a while. He was very happy with it as he went into "guitar mode" and was lost to the world. While I was browsing we found a used one for $99. We got it. It is an amazing little guitar and my 5 year old has no problem holding it and playing it. My 6'3" husband has no issue with it, either. Right now it is sitting in my trunk waiting on "Santa" to bring it in. If you're considering getting this, just do it.

This guitar is more than I was looking for. I just picked it up [...], and it rocks. The workmanship is very nice for such a budget axe. I 3/4 size makes it perfect for jamming in the car or at the park. I hooked it up to pocket rock-it and began to jam, without hardly anybody noticing I was smacking a little guitar.

You would expect a piece of junk for $[...], but this thing actually plays well. I bought this just for fun, to sit around on my couch an jam. The neck is really nice, good feel and action. The pickups are good too, nice difference in sound between the neck and bridge position. The tone knob is useless in my opinion. This is a fun guitar to play because it's small, but it's also a decent guitar. The tuners are cheapo, but the thing costs [...] bucks. This would be a great guitar for a kid because it's small yet it's got good build quality, unlike my 1st guitar which was almost unplayable.

"I have had the Mikro about 2 months. I haven't used my Fender Highway 1 Strat or Fender Mexican Tele since. This one really fits my hands and is a pleasure to play. I have read that short scale guitars have problems with intonation or tuning instability. I have had no such problems. Be sure to stretch new strings ( as on any guitar ). Also when I first pick it up to play, the strings are usually cold and therefore a little sharp in pitch. I just warm them with the palms of my hands and they are then in tune. If you tune them when cold they will go out of tune as they warm up. If you have small hands, this is a great guitar. It's worth much more than the Squier Mini and I think it is a better guitar than the Fender Strat Junior which is about 3 times the price. The tuners aren't the same quality as on the Strat Junior, but they work well. It's not really a kid's guitar, but it would be a good guitar for a child because of the size, quality and price."

"I've always dreaded the thought of getting a mini-Strat for my daughter. The things just don't play well enough. I didn't want her to be discouraged because the guitar wasn't up to the challenge. Ibanez has answered the call of duty! This guitar is absolutely terrific. It's smaller scale is great for my daughter's smaller hands, it stays in tune (!) and it even plays well!!! Ibanez has definitely done right by this old man."

"I just picked this up and after about a half hour of playing this guitar all I can say is ""IT ROCKS!!!"". Sure, it's a mini but as a carry/travel guitar it's rock solid and I've own quite a few (Squier mini, Hohner travel, Traveller, les paul pee wee). So far this is the best mini. And 24 frets! Hope you have small fingers! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because there's no locking trem and no gig bag yet. Rock on the road!"
