The AFS80T Artcore Hollow Body Electric Guitar is a traditional arch top guitar that will fit the bill for many different styles. The hollow body features a maple top, back, and sides; and the racing stripe across the top oozes pure rockabilly vibe and attitude. For increased comfort and more midrange punch, the body depth is one inch thinner than the full size hollowbody jazz guitars. The electronics schematic features a pair of Ibanez ceramic Humbuckers. You’ll get tons of high-end twang from the bridge pickup, as well as having the option to switch to smooth, warm blues and jazz tones with bottom-end to spare from the neck pickup. The AFS80T also features an Ibanez VBF70 Vintage Vibrato that will allow you to play true rockabilly style tremolo accents.
The neck on the Ibanez AFS80T is carved from a 3 piece Mahogany/Maple laminate into a comfortable, tapered profile which starts at a 20mm thickness at the 1st fret to a full 26.5mm at the 12th fret. The tapered neck will feel at home in your fretting hand. A bound rosewood fingerboard with luxurious pearl block inlays and jumbo frets will facilitate total ease of playability. The gold hardware compliments the white finish and old school vibe beautifully. Case not included.
