Hohner has employed a building technique on this guitar called Frequency Matching. This is a form of tap tuning, a technique that violin makers have used for centuries, to determine the resonant frequencies of the woods and then match the solid Sitka spruce tops with similarly resonant mahogany backs. Pickguards are eliminated to reduce unwanted vibrations on the soundboard. This process is combined with a micro thin finish which allows the wood to “breathe”; producing a powerful, rich singing tone. Case not included.
