The new Hartke HA3500 features all the same rock-solid performance and features of the original model released back in 1990, with 350 Watts of clean Hartke power and punch. The HA3500 includes selectable passive or active input, tube and solid-state pre-amps, variable compression, 10-band graphic EQ, high/low frequency contour control and a direct XLR output. The new edition features the new silver-face front panel, and Hartke built the amp into a vintage-style wood enclosure. Now this classic amp looks and performs better then ever.

Very good amp , for the price , and powerfull , perfect for big or small gigs , but.. you cant ask for more then what he got ,,, After this one i upgrade my bass rig , and i found just one amp better then this one .. The only problem with this amp is the tone , tube amps are better..

I have this head and i love it. It has a great sound and it has a great thud sound.I am running it through a vx 4x10 cab I Plan on getting a 1x15 later down the line.All i can say is it is a GREAT head!!!

"Since 2001, this head has been rock solid for me. During 5 years of playing out, the only problem I've had was a sticky compression knob: Sometimes when you turn the compression off, it doesn't come back on. Outside of that, it has always been more than reliable. Definitely loud enough for most venues. This head is very good for the money, but lacks in the tone department. I've played through the Hartke, with a Peavey 410 TXF, with an Ibanez 305dx, Peavey Cirrus 5 (walnut), and a Tobias Killer B 5 (Bubinga). Each bass has sounded pretty natural through it; however, there is not enough presence or clarity. When I put my 15 watt Fender practice amp, it produces a better tone: It's as if the Hartke muddies up your sound. The solid state and tube preamp mix really does not change your overall sound. For a reliable, loud, and decent sounding head, I'd say it can't be beat for the price. However, if you're a tone snob, I might research some other companies."

"This is what a bass head should be. Built-in compression, solidstate and tube preamps, 10-band eq and a XLR direct out. Hartke even gave the H3500a passive and active inputs for use with bass that have passive or active circuitry."
