Each cabinet is built tough with a shockproof metal grill, reinforced corners, recessed carry handles and a rugged covering.

I've had my Hartke xl series for about 2 years now and love it just as much as the day I bought it. Prior to this cab I've owned a behringer 810 monster cab which was a copy of this Hartke, and a crate combo 15 inch amp (forget the model). Out of all of my amps I've used and owned, this cab has the nicest, tightest sound yet. I'm running a Gallien Krueger 700rb head through it and this combination to me is perfect. The aluminum speakers give a nice punchy, growly, punk rock kind of sound. This is certainly a cut through the mix type of cabinet, I would not recommend this cab for players that want a deep bassy warm sound. The best way to explain this cabs sound is metal or punk with all the click clackyness, up front and stand out, definitely not for shy blending in bassist.

This bas cab sound very good, and the price is cheap, but I cant believe that guys of hartke systems dont inmunize the wood of the cab. The weevil eating my bass cab!!!!!!!!!!!!!! poor construction!!!!

A superb sounding cabinet. I use the Hartke 5500 bass head to drive this cab and it's amazing. The aluminum cones deliver that deep fat bass sound in addition to a mid and high range needed for carry. Hartke also has an excellent customer support. You won't be sorry with this cabinet....

"This amp is great for reasonable places, and reasonable price ranges. This amp is nice and loud and adds a great sound to any mix. The amp is powerful but at high volume rattles out of precievability. Its a good amp but don't overpower it."

Great Cab at a great price!!

"I bought my 4x10 BXL cab over a year agao and it is great. My band plays out at least 2x a month, and the cab has held up through every stretch of the way. It produces a wonderfully warm yet punchy sound. The addition of an Alesis 3630 has added to a already wonderful tone. A little difficult to move around by oneself, but the resessed handles are sturdy and rugged as well as the grill. Mine has already taken a few dings. I love it's sound and can't wait to add to my arsenal!!"
