I tune in different alternate tunings, these strings can handle the constant change, I use these for all four of my guitars. Though tone is such a subjective thing I personally like the tone from these strings. Cheap and people at the store do give you a strange look when you ask for them. But hey, they sound great and its what I like. Price isn't everything, its what you like.
