I bought this kit because its the only kit i could afford. its not a bad kit but the heads should defiantly be replaced as well as the cymbals. the cymbals sound like trash can lids. other than those things its a pretty good kit for beginners.

Bought my first starter kit after a 10 year lay off, was going to piece it but the kit offered what you need as a baseline. the ability to tone the heads is excellent, the pedals are nice and have had no problems after a year straight. you can easily replace the terrible cymbals and hi-hat. the only other thing i replaced was the kick drum head for a more boomer sound. everything works as its supposed to and very pleased with performance. great beginner kit for someone who might not stick with drumming, other wise a more advanced kit would be recommended.

this set can be used for kids and adults. i have owned 1,000 dollar sets and this one would not be the best but it is great from ages 7-13. this is very affordable.

This set is very good for what you pay. Don't expect it play like one of the nicer sets, but its good enough for beginners. The drums, especially the bass are pretty small, which can be good or bad. Its good if you have a limited space to put them in, but bad if you're just looking for good sound quality. The set comes with everything you need to start playing right away, and isn't too hard to set up if you know what you're doing. Replace the snare and you can get this set to sound decent. Overall 4/5 for price and convenience.

This is really in between 3 and 4 stars. It is very good for me...though i am having trouble tuning the snare to a good sound. The bass is deep, and has a good sound. I replaced the cymbals with Sabians becaouse the default ones are awful.

Great play, it really sounds good, however it did have a lot of boomy reverb. It was a little bit of a blast from the past. It sounded close to a set of Ludwig Vistalites with all that boomy reverb.

I bought this kit to use for practice. But, after changing the heads(Remo coated emps on top amb clear on bottom)and some good cymbals I started using it to play out. It has great tone and in a medium setting only had to mic the bass drum. The size makes it great to travel with. I don't even have to remove the toms from the bass drum. For the price you pay this set is awesome for any level. Even the hardware is good quality stuff. I would buy another one if needed. Don't pass this one up!!!!

"Its a great kit. Comes with everything so u can start playin the day it gets to your house. Its also a beginners heaven drum set. You really don't see quality drum sets like this for this kind of price. The way i made mine really rock out was: Zildjian ZBT cymbals and double bass pedal. although now that i look at it i really wished i saved up for another year and bought a pearl export, anyways great set, holds up well and can take a beating"
