I bought this stand because I don't have a lot pocket space on my gig bag so I just slip this inside the bag at the neck of my bass. Holds better than I thought it would but watch out for heavy bumps.

"I purchased this stand in a pack of three. They are primarily meant to hold electric guitars, unfortunately ... the compact design takes away from its ability to hold the guitar stable. Unfortunately, I have chipped one too many electric guitars because of side tip overs , and would not recommend this product to the most novice of players."
