The Les Paul Standard Bass takes the legendary styling and the classic features of the Les Paul design and applies them to the bass. Featuring an "oversized" Les Paul body that is more proportional to the dimensions of a 34” scale bass, the Les Paul Standard Bass captures all the elegance of its 6 string counterpart, while making its own individual statement.
The Les Paul Standard Bass starts with the classic tonewood combination of a mahogany body with solid carved maple top. The mahogany body is chambered in select spots to enhance resonance while maximizing comfort and reducing the weight substantially.
The glued-in quarter-sawn solid-mahogany neck is carved to a comfortably round tapered profile that increases gradually from .860" at the 1st fret to .960" at the 12th fret, and topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with traditional trapezoid inlays.
Like the Les Paul Standard guitar, the onboard electronics are powerful, simple and versatile. Featuring a pair of Gibson USA TB+ humbucking pickups, with ceramic magnets for enhanced punch and clarity. Individual volume and tone controls and a three-way switch offer a wide range of tones, making the Les Paul Standard Bass a great choice for any style of playing. A Gibson Hardshell Case is included.
