Featuring an "oversized" Les Paul body that is more proportional to the dimensions of a 34” scale bass, the Les Paul Standard Bass captures all the elegance of its 6 string counterpart, while making its own individual statement.
The Les Paul Standard Bass starts with the classic tonewood combination of a mahogany body with solid carved maple top. The mahogany body is chambered in select spots to enhance resonance while maximizing comfort and reducing the weight substantially.
The glued-in quarter-sawn solid-mahogany neck is carved to a comfortably round tapered profile that increases gradually from .860" at the 1st fret to .960" at the 12th fret, and topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with traditional trapezoid inlays.
Like the Les Paul Standard guitar, the onboard electronics are powerful, simple and versatile. Featuring a pair of Gibson USA TB+ humbucking pickups, with ceramic magnets for enhanced punch and clarity. Individual volume and tone controls and a three-way switch offer a wide range of tones, making the Les Paul Standard Bass a great choice for any style of playing. A Gibson Hardshell Case is included.
