The Gibson SG Melody Maker sports a satin finish which feels great and helps the instrument resonate and gives it a “worn-in” feel. The single 498T is a high output humbucking pickup really cuts through the mix. The Mahogany neck features a "torrefied" maple fretboard. Torrefacation is a high temperature wood treatment process that makes wood more stable and resistant, as well as enhance the grain and physical appearance, giving the wood a more rosewood-like aesthetic.
